The BACP describes Counselling as a place that provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns.
Your therapist will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems.
What I do
I offer individual counselling to young people and adults. I use an integrative approach to therapy, which means that I draw from approaches such as Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I tailor the support I can give you by integrating different elements from these approaches.
I work with you to help you gain a better understanding of your emotions and what thoughts, feelings and behaviours they may bring about. The process will give you better insight and awareness of yourself. I will facilitate you to help you identify what is causing your distress and work on how you are able to make change.
Some of the issues I work with
I work with both adults and young people. Some of the issues I am experienced in helping clients with include:
- anxiety & stress
- depression

- gender identification
- self-harm
